Over the years we have collected three dogs and six cats, several of whom have difficulty riding in the car. So when we moved to Michigan we were very happy to find a vet nearby who makes house calls! Dr. Altrogge and her fabulous assistants have been out to our place on numerous occasions for everything from routine shots to an infected paw and from arthritis flare-up to upper respiratory infections. They are very sensitive to differences in owners' preferences for treatment; for us, we appreciate that they do not rush to intensive treatment before trying basic remedies. They are extremely careful in handling injured or aged pets. They make themselves available for follow-up when necessary, and are always patient in answering our questions. If you want to save your pet the trauma of a car ride, I highly recommend Dr. Altrogge.
